Your tri-material parts at APS Coatings
This part looks simple…
…but, in reality, not at all!
Three different coatings were applied:
An anti-corrosion coating in zinc flake as an undercoat
A Nuflon LSD anti-stick coating from APS Coating Solutions
An orange PU coating to improve the visibility of the part and further strengthen its protection
Result: a multi-functional technical part perfectly adapted to its use in industry.

A special anti-fretting coating
Nuflon MeC2 is a coating specially formulated by APS based on pure fluoropolymers.
It is used to solve fretting problems (frictional wear during micro displacement) and is particularly effective for tight-fitting mechanisms because its thickness is equal to 2µm.
At APS, we have applied it to these nuts to guarantee:
- An optimal tightening
- Their protection without influencing their aging
- The reduction of friction and wear.
Transmission is important at APS
As part of a business conference, Damien, our Materials Engineer, returned to his old school to speak with MTX4 and MTX5 students from Polytech Sorbonne – Materials Specialty.
The opportunity to exchange on dry coatings, laser innovations and to share on the practical applications of the courses given to these future engineers.
Thanks to Guillaume Mériguet and Alban Ferrier for organizing this day and for their hospitality.
Special water-based coating with APS
APS is always on the lookout for high-performance coatings that reduce the impact on the environment. Thus, we are qualified by several contractors for the application of Surf-Kote LOB-1800-G, a water-based lubricating coating.
After curing, this coating has lubricating properties at temperatures ranging from 370-760°C.
It is especially recommended for applications where other dry film lubricants containing molybdenum disulfide and/or Teflon are not acceptable.
Energy diagnosis at APS
APS called on NALDEO to carry out a study in conjunction with ADEME on its direct and indirect energy-related emissions.
Objective: to define an energy master plan for the Ile de France and Aquitaine sites and set up a decarbonization roadmap for early 2023.
A firm commitment by APS to reduce its environmental impact and which will contribute to achieving France’s objective of carbon neutrality by 2050.
To be continued…
