The properties of epoxy resins
Epoxy resins are thermosetting resins with good mechanical and electrical properties, good temperature resistance and low shrinkage. They are available in numerous colors and resistant to chemical and environmental attack.
Epoxy resins are commonly used as adhesives or paints. Indeed, once the crosslinking is complete, an epoxy film hardly reacts any more and can act as a watertight barrier, including at high electrical voltages.
